An emitter follower circuit is a type of transistor amplifier circuit that has the output voltage taken from the emitter terminal of the transistor. It provides high input impedance and low output impedance, making it useful for impedance matching and buffering applications. The output voltage follows the input voltage with a slight voltage drop due to the base-emitter junction of the transistor. Emitter follower circuits are commonly used to isolate different parts of a circuit and prevent loading effects. **
